Appointment as student assistant

In order to be appointed as student assistant you must be enrolled as a student at the University. As student assistant you carry out duties with regard to academic teaching or research.

You can only become a student assistant from the beginning of the second year of your studies.

The appointment ends once you are no longer a student: for example, if you graduate before the appointment reaches its end or if you cease your studies for other reasons.  You must inform the HRM department of your department of this in good time.

Form of appointment and salary

The appointment as student assistant is entered into for the duration of a maximum of one year and can be extended for a maximum of one year at a time. The hours the appointment entails and the salary level depend on the phase of the programme you are on and whether or not you have already been admitted to a master’s programme.

Leave

As a student assistant you have the right to leave in proportion to the hours that your appointment entails.
